Stairlift Buying Process

Whether you have decided to buy a new stairlift or are just considering the possibility of purchasing one at this point in time, we've put together some useful information below in order for you to know exactly what you can expect to happen following your request for our free stairlift brochure (similarly, this information also applies if you have requested a quick price quote or a free home survey).

1. A stairlift brochure is posted to you as soon as possible, complete with a letter of introduction.

2. A courtesy telephone call is made to see if we can offer any further assistance with your enquiry, such as a check that you have received all the necessary information you require. This also gives you an opportunity to discuss your exact circumstances with our advisor and to let us know the urgency of your stairlift enquiry.

3. If you're happy to continue, then a free home survey appointment will be offered at a convenient time to suit yourself (you may decide for a family member or friend to be also present during the home survey).

4. The free home survey will take between 60 to 90 minutes approximately, during which the trained surveyor will assess and take measurements of the client and the stairs in order to recommend the most suitable stairlift, based upon your exact needs and requirements.

During the visit, the surveyor will explain all you need to know about the stairlift and will be able to answer any questions you may have. The surveyor will also discuss and explain the various options which are available to you including the type of track, seat type, power assist, hand controls and upholstery colour etc.

A written quotation is then prepared by the surveyor and given to you for you to review and consider. You'll also have the opportunity to discuss the various payment options and finance options (if required) with the surveyor.

5. If you'd like to go ahead with the purchase of your stairlift, then an order is raised and agreed with the client. Once submitted, the order is processed and the installation team will make contact to agree a suitable fitting date.

For more complex staircase designs and layouts, a further detailed technical survey may also need to be arranged with you (although these are not normally required for straight stairlifts).

6. That's it! You can now sit back, relax and await the installation of your brand new stairlift!

We hope you find the information above useful.

If you have any further questions regarding the purchase of your new stairlift, then please do not hesitate to contact us (or call the number in the brochure to speak direct with an advisor).
